Story
Hey Everyone,
As you all know, for some time now, I have been purporting that i am "going" to cut my hair , with little to no action to show for it. But enough is enough, the time has come for The CHOP.
On the 24th of September, I will be cutting and donating my luscious locks to the Australian Alopecia Areata Foundation (AAAF) to help make a wig for someone who cannot grow hair of their own.
All hair donated to AAAF are sent to wig makers who specialize in making hair pieces for medical purposes. The hair donated and the funds raised go to support Wigs For Kids program, which provides financial grants to help families with the costs of wigs. So my hair donation will help kids with Alopecia Areata twice! Woohoo!!
I will be uploading before, during and after photos so everyone can enjoy the experience with me. So dig deep and donate whatever you can so we can put a smile on the faces and hair on the heads of some really brave and wonderful kids.
Also share this page with anyone who you think would be interested and wishes to learn more about Alopecia Areata! https://aaaf.org.au/about-alopecia-areata
Activity
Australia Alopecia Areata Foundation Inc
Australia Alopecia Areata Foundation Inc. (AAAF), is established to be the national Australia body supporting research to find a cure or acceptable treatment for all forms of Alopecia Areata, support those with the disease and their families, and inform the public about all forms of Alopecia Areata.
Our Service philosophy is to give each person the best chance of managing their alopecia journey positively, the whole family and each individual needs to be supported to manage their unique experience. By reducing the financial and emotional stress and enabling children, young people, adults and their support networks to develop their strengths and skills, AAAF assists the whole family to achieve that positive journey.
