Hey friends! Many of you know that Ive wanted to try something different with my hair for a while now, so I though why not go all out and donate it to someone who really needs it? In a few weeks I will chop off my ponytail and send it, along with any donations from you, to the AAAF, who support people with Alopecia Areata and their families.
Alopecia is a medical condition causing hair loss and inability to grow hair on some or all parts of the body. Ive had more hair than I need for as long as I can remember so I figured it's about time to give someone else a hand (or a ponytail).
My hair will be sent wig makers who specialize in making hair pieces for medical purposes. Your donations will also go to supporting the Wigs For Kids program, which provides financial grants to help families with the costs of wigs.
It would be incredible if each of you can donate as little as $2 because as you all know, every little bit counts, and one of the best christmas presents of all is making someone's life a little bit better.
